Meet the makers

Mr Pakiyadurai Kandasamy

A master sweet maker, travelled India honing his craft, but always longed to recreate the unique flavour of his hometown treat, Kovilpatti Kadalai Mittai. He realized it could only be achieved in Kovilpatti itself, using locally sourced high-quality peanuts and time-tested methods. Driven by this passion, he returned home and opened his own factory, ensuring each batch is perfect. Because sometimes, the best flavours are the ones closest to home.

Mrs. Sanyukta Zele

Thirty years ago, when Mrs. Sanyukta Zele decided to make Bhadang on a commercial scale, she spent days testing and perfecting the quantities of ingredients. When asked about the secret behind great taste, she smiles and attributes it to making sure that everything she makes is exactly how she would prepare it at home for her family. The proof is in the bhadang!
